The Dangerous World Tour Beginning at the Olympic Stadium on 27th June 1992 in Munich, Germany the “Dangerous” tour was the biggest tour any performer had done, breaking his own record from the preceding “Bad” tour. The extravagant staging took nearly 3 days to set up, making headlines everywhere it went. 20 trucks of equipment were shipped between countries on cargo planes. The “Dangerous” tour included 69 concerts to about 3.5 million people. The first leg of this tour ended on 31st December 1992 in Tokyo, Japan at the Tokyo Dome and after a brief break, the second leg began on 24th August 1993 at National Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. This tour concluded on 11th November 1993 in Mexico City, Mexico at the Aztec Stadium. Michael performed in Japan, Asia, Russia, Turkey, Israel, and South America. He donated all the proceeds to the Heal The World Foundation and other charities. Unfortunately the second leg of the tour was cut short due to illness. Michael sold the film rights to his “Dangerous” concert in Bucharest, Rumania to HBO for $20 million for the rights to air the show. The deal was the highest ever paid for a live concert. This special received the highest TV ratings in the history of HBO, and Michael was honored with a Cable Ace Award. The Bucharest concert, performed on 1st October 1992 was broadcast live on radio and shown on TV in 61 countries. |
| On 30th and 31st December 1992, Michael performed at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. Slash made a special guest appearance for "Black Or White" at both concerts. |
